Stop junk mail

How we did the maths
 

A pizza flyer? For me? You shouldn't have... No. I mean it. You really shouldn't have.

Every year 3.5 million trees are cut down to make the junk mail we get through our doors in the UK. Pizza flyers are ok, but they make lousy forests.

    stopping catalogs

    each time I get a catalog in the mail, I go on their website and send an email (I have a template I use) saying please remove me from the mailing list because, while I do a lot of mail order shopping, i do so exclusively from websites and consider paper catalogs to be nothing more than a nuisance and a significant waste of resources. I also ask them to flag the account, if possible, so that new orders will not generate more mailings.

    this has cut down my catalogs from 1-2 / day to almost none.     02 October 2009, 02:17

    NO JUNK MAIL!!!

    For christmas i got the teach your granny how to text and other ways to change the world book, its fab! As i was reading the book i found a page with stickers on it. You can put them your mail box, that say stuff like my letter box is on a diet no junk mail please.

    Cool fact: every year 3.5 million trees are cut down to make junk mail we dont want.

    No junk mail

    I have stuck up the stickers found in one of the three books on the front of my door. I have also asked my mother for me to do it because of the paper wastage and she is all for it. 01 July 2009, 21:28
