Lights, Camera, Action!

You don't need to be trained in Hollywood or own a light metre to make a film. Good ideas can be simply made and still seen by millions.

Did you know 6 billion videos are watched a month on Youtube? And this film has been seen a whopping 170 million times? Next time, it could be you.

Here are our five tips:

	1. Use what you've got. You don't need expensive equipment to make a film - you can use your mobile phone or camera. This film about pandas could have been shot on a Nokia...
	2. Have One Message. You might have lots of things you want to talk about but just pick one to keep your film short and simple. This film about ipods shows the dangers of too many messages.)
	3. Entertain your audience. Make them laugh, make them cry but do something they'll want to watch. (Fairy lights on sheep and talking meercats had us chuckling)
	4: Write a script and draw a storyboard. Planning is key. Download a storyboard template here.
	5. Test the sound and light. It's important you check the sound is not too loud or too quite and the lighting is just right.

You're now fully equipped to be the next George Lucas, so get out your clapper boards and go for your life with your best Oscar-winning performance.
