competitiona Sensational Competition

Whether it's a group of mates throwing stones at a bottle, vote night on Britain's Got Talent, a World Cup Final, or a session of Sing Star, everyone loves a competition.

Why not organise a We Are What We Do competition in your school?

It could be anything from a talent contest, to a cook-off, to a sports day.

Or it might be a more general competition to see who's done the most actions.

Do you want people to compete on their own or in a group? Is it the one person who's grown the biggest vegetable or the class in the school that has recycled the most paper?

Here are our five tips:

1. Make sure its easy to take part. It shouldn't be too exclusive. So if you're running a cooking competition, perhaps it's to make pizza not souffle, and an event only open to didgeridoo players might have limited appeal.

2. Have a vote. It's the best way to get everyone involved. We loved the Best Job in the world competition as the candidates really had to work for their votes.

3. Organise a prize -stock up on these... and don't forget one of these.

4. Publicise it. Make a poster to let people know when, where and how to enter.

5. Record the success. Count how many people take part, take photos, make videos, and track it on this site.

Do send us an invite to any sensational competitions you run. We're constantly in training.

One last thing, no bad loosers please!
